Structural Analysis

Every physical structure we see and handle every day, from buildings and bridges to cars, aeroplanes, mobile phones, and laptops, is a product of physical materials interacting with the environment.

The field of Structural Analysis is the foundation to understanding the physical behavior of any structure such as deflection, stress and strain, as well as to understand how the structure will perform in relation to its environment.
The constant pressure to develop new products faster and cheaper, has placed an increasing emphasis on the need for structural analysis, in order for engineers to not only understand the performance of their existing designs, but also to predict and optimize new designs in an ever-increasing competitive global market.

SIMTEQ specializes in providing software tools for conducting detailed structural analysis of almost any physical product from city skyscrapers made from concrete and steel, all the way down to microscopic nano machines made from silicon and carbon nanotubes, and everything in between! The core technology behind structural analysis is called Finite Element Analysis or FEA.

This computer simulation technology subdivides any real-world structure into thousands (or millions) of ‘elements’ in order to calculate the detailed deformation of each element subject to internal and external loading on the structure.

Typical loading of a structure includes temperature, force, pressure, contact, vibration, radiation, gravity, wind and short duration impact loads. FEA takes these loads and applies them to the shape and material properties of your design, to accurately calculate the internal stresses in the structure, as well as its overall performance (such as deflection or thermal expansion). The results of the FEA allow the engineer to assess if the product will perform as expected while still adhering to all the safety and other design requirements imposed on the product.

Historically, the world of “structures” from bridges to aircraft airframes was strictly controlled by conservative design codes, which while ensuring the safety of the design, gave very little room for innovation in terms of new materials or manufacturing processes. With the advent of Additive manufacturing such as various 3D printing technologies, and a multitude of newer materials available to engineers today, the requirement for doing detailed structural analysis is no longer a luxury or “nice-to-have” but has become an essential part of any successful product development process.

SIMTEQ has the broadest and most advance suite of Structural Analysis tools to help you simulate and optimize your designs. Whether you are developing heavy duty mining machines, or deep-sea exploration vessels, or military equipment or biomedical implants, or consumer electronics or anything else you can imagine, our team of experienced engineers can help you to simulate everything so that you can be confident in maintaining the competitive edge in your product development.

Don't ever risk your career by using cracked software!

THE EXCUSES:
I only used it for my studies, I only wanted to evaluate the software, I didn't use if for commercial purposes, I only installed it, but never used it... Unfortunately, no reason holds up in court for the possession of stolen goods.

THE FINE?
The full commercial purchase price of the software (for everything you had access to, whether or not it was even used!)

Students (under- or post-graduate) also has no recourse since they can get access to free legal student versions, or the full commercial versions through their respective universities.
If you wish to evaluate any software or module that you do not have access to, please contact us, we will gladly arrange for evaluation licenses, even emergency licenses.

There is just no reason to access illegal software.
